Susan is a remarkably insightful therapist who guided my husband and me through a devastating time in our marriage. She was patient, empathetic, and able to grasp the crucial issues that were holding us back from saving our relationship. Susan was able to understand those hurdles and then take us one - and two and three - steps farther so we could finally see each other's viewpoint. Those aha moments happened repeatedly. We could not have gotten there without her help. We had been to a therapist before finding Susan but there was no comparison. We felt safe with Susan. We felt as if Susan cared whether our marriage came apart, or if we were emotionally healthy. She made us strong - as a couple and individually. That is the definition of an excellent therapist. We would return to Susan in a heartbeat and highly recommend her practice.

Susan is extremely perceptive and compassionate when it comes to couples counseling. She's a great listener, and has amazing recall. She is skilled at understanding a complex dynamic, and providing just the right common sense advice. She is even-handed, patient, and wise. My wife and I are truly fortunate to have found her.

When I met Susan two and a half years ago I could never have imagined the journey we were about to embark on together. I first saw Susan for marriage counseling and since then she has become my confidante and my friend. There is nothing I can't say to her. She is incredibly patient, listens intently, never judges, provides actionable insight and, most importantly, she genuinely cares. I feel lucky to have met her and would recommend her (and have) to anyone seeking support or growth - individually or as a couple.

I have worked with Susan for individual counseling and couples counseling. I can say, without exaggeration, that her combination of empathy, strength, patience, compassion and insight have helped keep my marriage together and my emotional life safe, and my physical health has also improved.
