What is Life Coaching?
Life coaching is a powerful confidential, personalized service that is designed to enhance people’s personal and professional lives. Quite simply, it helps bring you from where you are now to where you want to be. It is designed for people who are doing OK but want to do better! Life coaching really gets you places!
Please be aware that though I offer both life coaching and counseling, they are, in fact, distinct services. Life coaching is not a mental health service and as such, is not reimbursed by health insurance and it has its’ own separate rate structure.
Are you a candidate for life coaching? These are some of the types of goals you may set up that I can help you with:
- creating more satisfaction in all the different parts of life
- less stress
- more passion and motivation
- increased self-confidence
- clarity of goals and vision
- improved organization and productivity
- greater life balance
- ability to see different perspectives and avenues for change and growth
- financial and professional gains
You, too, would benefit from life coaching.
Let’s partner to make your personal and professional life a success. I will help you implement action plans that move you forward, while keeping you focused on your priorities, values and goals. Our alliance will serve to help you break through stuck places and thinking. I will collaborate with you to create a more balanced, successful and fulfilling existence for yourself and “go for the gusto” in your life. And, very importantly, I will facilitate your self-discovery and perpetual learning.
I specialize in confidence coaching!
“”Oh, the places you’d go …”” working with your own supportive, non-judgmental, challenging life coach whose only agenda is your success and fulfillment as you define it.
Life coaching is effective and convenient (it can be conducted over skype or the phone so location is no obstacle).
According to NBC news article that was published on Jan 31, 2016, “A class-action lawsuit filed in Colorado is focusing new attention on the “life coaching” industry, a quickly growing but unregulated field that attracts many practitioners who lack any training or certification … While illicit activity can happen in any industry, life coaching is particularly susceptible because it is unregulated and anyone can say they’re a life coach and establish a practice, experts say…. It’s also big business…Unlike a doctor or a counselor, life coaches don’t have to back up their titles with a degree. They can also earn some kind of certificate in just a couple of days.”
I am certified as a coach by the Coaches Training Institute and have been coaching for over 16 years. I am also licensed as a professional counselor in the state of MA.
